Other things I like almost as much as nachos

I wouldn't really be a well-rounded individual if I only talked about nachos. I do have a few other hobbies (some might call them obsessions). So, in no particular order, some other things that rule.

Pabst Blue Ribbon - PBR could quite possibly be the most underrated beer around. Founded in 1844, Pabst worked for nearly half a century perfecting the art of brewing, earning them the Blue Ribbon in 1893. Ignoring the fact that they haven't won another prize in 109 years, they have continued to use "Blue Ribbon" in their name. Coincidentally enough, they also brew Old Style which ranks up there with PBR on the underrated list. Perhaps my next endeavor will include combining a frosty PBR with some nachos... Hmm, can there be too much of a good thing? Read more about the fine tradition of Pabst here - Pabst Blue Ribbon

The Goonies - This could perhaps be the greatest movie of all time. It is definitely the best movie of the 80's and one of Spielberg's finest works. If you get the chance, make sure to check out the DVD that came out in August 2001. They brought the whole cast back to do commentary during the movie. It's really interesting to hear what they remember from 15 years earlier. They also have included the cut scenes in a separate section. The whole "The octopus was really scary" makes a whole lot more sense now. Some guy really spent some time making a pretty elaborate page about them. He's even included a "Where are they now" section. It's worth giving a look-see. http://www.thegoonies.com/. Here's a feel good clip from the movie. It goes to show it's alright for two men to love one another - loveya.wav.

The Chicago White Sox - It's not easy being a Sox fan in Chicago. In fact I'm really getting sick and tired of these drunken, disillusioned Cubs fans keep talking about which stadium is better. Sure, Wrigley is a great area to have a beer. In fact you'll probably need five or six beers to deal with the 94 consecutive years of losing. I mean, hey, any team can have a bad century, right? But when you get down to it, Sox fans are real baseball fans and the Sox team is really out there to win. When they go to Comisky, the fans are there to watch a good ballgame. And you heard it here first, they will win the AL Central this season. I was born a Sox fan and I will die a Sox fan because they are the only real baseball team in town. Keep up to date with their season at http://www.whitesox.com/.

Radiohead - It took me a while to warm up to these guys, but once I got started listening to them I just couldn’t stop. If you're into really interesting, well thought out music, I suggest really giving them a good listen. I would suggest starting with "OK Computer" or "Kid A". Seriously, get into a relaxed state of mind and really enjoy the entire album. They've really seemed to have pushed music to some new frontiers. Their website is almost as wigged out as some of their songs. Nonetheless, they're at http://www.radiohead.com/.

Tool - This is another band that doesn't seem to get much of any radio play, but is really talented. I have to admit that I've always had a thing for angry music, and these guys are really good at that. If you're looking for light rock or Celine Dion, this isn't the band for you. I was always mesmerized by their video for "Sober" about nine years ago or whenever that came out. And if you give them a good listen, you can really tell how they've matured musically over the years. What I really like about their website is that they not only have sounds clips and videos, but also include their lyrics. You have to wonder about these bands that keep their lyrics so secretive. Wouldn't you think they'd want to get whatever their message is out to their fans? As a side note, their song "Aenima" is one of the angriest songs I've ever heard. Like a lot of bands, their site is very artistic and well done. Make sure to check them out at http://www.toolband.com/.

My Family - Both of my parents and my brother are all really cool. Even our dog is pretty cool, for a dog. If you ever meet Kirby, make sure that he's had a bath lately since he tends to stink after a couple of weeks. My family members don't really have personal websites, nor do I have a picture of all of us to put up. So if you guys are reading this and you have a picture or something you want me to put up, make sure to send it to me. In the meantime, everyone is just going to have to close their eyes and pretend. Below is a picture of Kirby that my dad sent.

This is Kirby

Salma Hayek - Salma is my dream woman. Most people don't really understand my obsession, but honestly I don't care. If no one else wants her, the better the odds are for me. And Salma, if you're reading this, make sure to send me an email. We should hang out and do lunch or something. I was thinking about putting a link, but I don’t want anyone else gawking over my woman. Here, go look at Jennifer Lopez. You can all have her, that skanky ho bag - http://www.jenniferlopez.com/
